Spandex to host technology dayWritten by Graphic Display Community
Spandex is hosting an inspirational day of print technology demonstrations at its Bristol headquarters on March 7, 2012. Attractions will include demonstrations of the latest equipment from Epson, SwissQprint, Durst and Keencut, as well as Gerber's new Omega 5.0 sign making software.
Visitors will see the UK premier of the new Epson SureColour SC30600 'Green' inkjet printer, which can be used to produce the full gamut of posters, signs, banners and vehicle wraps. At 64" wide, it offers the highest productivity in its class, delivering speeds of up to 29.4m2/h at 720 x 720 dpi and uses eco-friendly UltraChrome GS2 inks.
Also on display will be SwissQprint' s UV flatbed printer, which offers spot colour, white and varnish options, together with print speeds of up to 134 m2/h, and Durst's Omega 1 UV flatbed printer, which can be used to output high quality fine art reproductions. In order to properly evaluate the efficacy of all of the equipment on display, all visitors are encouraged to bring their own job files. Spandex's sign and digital specialists will also be on hand to discuss any specific requirements and to present a wide range of materials from ImagePerfect, Avery, 3M and MACtac and visitors will be able to enjoy light refreshments and lunch.
